Zahir Raihan was one of the most talented filmmakers in Bangladesh.

 He was born on 19th August, 1935 in the village Majupur in Feni district. He took part in almost all the movements from 1952 to 1971. He dreamt of a democratic society, a society that will ensure freedom of speech and will. 

He made a legendary film ‘Jibon Theke Neya’ based on the Language  Movement of 1952. Besides, his great documentary, ‘Stop Genocide’, revealed the atrocities of then Pakistani rulers. It helped create world sentiment in favour of our liberation was. 


This great filmmaker was brutally killed by some traitors of this country in 1971.
